Aggregate Blocks are the cornerstone of modern construction, with the vast majority of buildings today incorporating blocks. Boasting a high compressive strength and a dense thermal mass they are ideal for walls both internal and external.
Lightweight Blocks make use of aggregates such as Perlite, volcanic glass which greatly expands when heated. This allows for a lighter, less dense block which is easier to handle and lay.
Aerated Blocks are more thermally insulating and fire resistant than standard blocks due to their porous structure. During manufacture several chemical reactions cause hydrogen gas to bubble through the mix creating the tiny cavities that cause these improved qualities.
