Cuprinol Decking Cleaner is an all-in-one decking cleaner that is perfect for use on garden decking, patios and stonework. Containing specially formulated detergents, it effectively cleans a wide range of surface contaminates, including dirt, grease, algae and mould.
This product can be used as a pre-treatment for cleaning biological matter from wooden decking before applying a decking oil or decking stain. Cuprinol Decking Cleaner is not intended as a replacement for the regular treatment of decking.
Preparation
Remove excessive organic growth and soiling with a scraper, stiff brush or broom before treating decking boards with Cuprinol Decking Cleaner.
Application
Always do small a test area before beginning any project to check suitability and compatibility. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.
- For lighter organic growth, dilute with an equal amount of water
- For heavy mould / algal growth, apply undiluted
- Apply generously by brush, spray or watering can (fitted with a rose)
- When spraying, use a coarse (airless) spray and avoid misting
- Scrub affected area with a stiff brush or broom
- Leave for a few minutes then rinse off with water
- Allow to dry fully dry for a minimum of 16 hours before applying a decking oil or stain
